Week for organization. Lets go through all classes and lets celebrate successes and figure out what still needs to be done.
I will be administering the PSAT9, PSAT10, SAT, WorkKeys, and MSTEP to all students who receive accommodations. They have all been applied for and accepted. Our schedule is posted in my classroom. Students see me as to when and where you are testing
Our goal this week is to:
To increase understanding of social activities, social skills, and the benefits of social interaction Know the difference: Social activity-- Social skill-- Benefit of social interaction We are also talking about Self-regard. This is the ability to respect and accept oneself as you are. This week we are working on reading charts and tables that we find in our community.
The students will be given a venue and a time. They are to figure out times for the South Shore Train Line. They will tell me when they depart, when and when they arrive. Then how much admission to their venue is, as well as departure for home and when they arrive. Every Monday is Progress Monitor day. This week during transition time we will be thinking about IEP's.
You will be going over your IEP looking at your strengths and needs and then checking your accommodations. Are those a good fit for you? How do you communicate that to your general education teachers. We will also be discussing independent living. Making informed shopping decisions. Home coming week!! Monday is PJ day
This week we are doing our monthly progress monitoring. Please bring work to class so we can help you stay caught up. Transition is all about communication skills. Remember: •S-sit or stand up straight •H-have a pleasant tone of voice •A-activate your thinking •R-relax •E-engage in eye communication Please bring work from other classes daily.
This week we will be assessing IEP goals and filling in our goal sheets for baseline goals. Please be sure you have joined my google classroom.
